This 24" by 36 Cast Bronze Plaque with a bas
relief sculpted hand shake was installed in Germany
(see below).
The plaque was a "Thank you" from several
hundred U.S. airmen who were stationed at a microwave
station on a mountain top in Germany over a period
of 31 years, to the German citizens of the surrounding
communities who accepted them as friends, and treated
them as such. It sits just off an intersection called "Sandplacken" about
30 minutes north of Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
